Congratulations Firebirds
Phoenix Netball Club which was established 11 years ago. Firebirds is a combination of players from our DIV 1 and 2 teams and includes players who have recently moved from the junior to senior squads. We had never played together as a team before!
During the pandemic many of the players were chomping at the bit to get back to netball and many leagues had not yet been able to get up and running. This league was one of only a small number that became available to us so despite this not being local we decided to enter a team. It has been a pleasure playing in this league and we are so grateful to the league organisers and umpires and other teams who persevered and strived to keep this league going through the toughest of times so thank you for the opportunity! To win the league is an added bonus 🥰
